Gathering for Fun: Celebrating Culture, Camaraderie, and the Craic
If you think joining a fraternal order means sitting in stuffy meetings, think again. We firmly believe that fellowship should be fun. The Irish spirit is inherently joyful, resilient, and celebratory. We honor our heritage not just by congregating, by remembrance, by good deeds, but by embracing the craic—that quintessential Irish combination of good conversation, music, and high spirits.

Our social calendar is designed to bring brothers (and often their families) together to build memories outside of our formal activities.

The Season of Green: Marching Proudly
For a Hibernian, March isn't just a month; it's our season. It is when we step out into the public square to visibly celebrate our heritage and faith with pride.

Marching behind our Division banner is a highlight of the year. We don't just march in one parade; we often make the rounds. You will definitely see our division proudly stepping off in the Conshohocken St. Patrick's Parade. Depending on the year and the weather, you might find us traveling up to the scenic Jim Thorpe or the historic town of Girardville in the coal region to parade and commune with the spirits of the Molly Maguires who fought and died for the rights of Irish coal miners.

The camaraderie on parade days—from the bus ride there, to the cheers along the route, to the post-parade celebrations—is unbeatable.

Annual Traditions
Throughout the year, we have pillar events that our members look forward to as opportunities to relax and recharge together.

-
Irish Night: A signature social event hosted by our brothers at Division 6. A lively evening dedicated to the best of our culture, featuring live traditional Irish music, dancers, plenty of food, and perhaps a pint or two.
-
The Annual Golf Outing: A day on the links mixing friendly competition with fundraising. Whether you’re a scratch golfer or just happy to drive the cart, it’s a great day out with the guys.
-
Family Picnic: We know that when a man joins the AOH, his family is part of our extended community. Our summer picnic is a chance for spouses and kids to connect, featuring food, games, and relaxed fellowship in the sun.
Beyond the Meeting Hall: Adventures and Travel
The true measure of the brotherhood in this Division is that we choose to spend time together even when there isn't an "official" AOH event on the calendar. Our connections run deep, leading to ad-hoc gatherings and shared adventures throughout the year.
-
Historical Tours: We connect with our history on the ground. A recent highlight was traveling together to Gettysburg for a dedicated tour focused on the heroic actions of the famed Irish Brigade during the Civil War.
-
Vacationing Together: It is common for groups of our members and their families to coordinate vacations or share shore houses during the summer.
-
Impromptu Gatherings: From catching a Phillies game together to meeting up at a local pub for traditional music sessions, if something fun is happening, there’s usually a contingent of Hibernians there together.
We work hard for our charities and our parishes, but we make sure we enjoy the journey together.
